Educational Outreach Program
We are working to enhance the Boquete-area students’ educational experience by providing classes on pet care, animal maintenance, and sterilization. We will also expand their access to reading books, read aloud to the students and by setting up school animal sterilization clinics at the schools, near the students’ homes.
We have 2 main needs:
Volunteers: we'd like to have 1 to 4 volunteers for each school so we can nurture and grow the experience for the children throughout the school year. There are many ways you can help, and Spanish skills are not needed.
Financial: we are actively fundraising to be able to buy books and supplies for the Animales presentations, create bookcases and reading corners in classrooms, and to fund the Amigos de Animales school sterilization clinics. Our goal is to raise $10,000.
