My husband and I just drove to Panama City and back to Boquete. On the drive east, we followed the PanAmercian Highway for the entire trip, but coming home we decided to take the road through Soná to avoid the worst of the highway construction. Traveling along this lovely two-lane road, we passed many more packs of homeless dogs and cats than we have seen in the 9 months we’ve lived in Boquete. It was sad to see so many beautiful animals wandering the road with traffic whizzing by, and coming close to death while searching for a little food and shelter. It truly made me grateful for Amigos de Animales, and the wonderful work they do in reducing the population of feral animals in our area!
